I spent a lot of time messing with this thing. This instantly powered on the wireless adaptor that was not lighting up before and everything was recognized correctly by the system and the controller was ready to be used. Once it's successfully installed, insert your Wireless Adaptor USB into a different USB port. (There should be only one file that gives you the option to install from right clicking) Right click on the the file that you unzipped earlier and click "install" from the right click menu. Physically unplug the Wireless adaptor from you PC Go to Device Manager > Network Adaptors and Uninstall the driver for Xbox Wireless adaptor. I did these steps that someone on the microsoft forum did. I did not manually search for the driver in the device manager. " Windows 10 Anniversary Update and Later Servicing Drivers,Windows 10 S and Later Servicing Drivers " What worked for me was a tiny bit different.Īs other users said: this was the driver that worked: I don't see any driver updates when I go to optional updatesĮDIT: SOLVED-None of the above things worked and I tried just about everything I read on the internet. Tried manually installing the drivers, got the "xbox acc" to go away and it was telling me the best drivers were updated but I still had error 48. OP can you speak on this? I had word for word the same issue as you.
